Five Tips to Prevent Pipes From Freezing
During the winter months it is very important to make sure that your pipes remain unfrozen. Frozen Pipes could lead to a costly repair..Below are 5 tips that will help prevent frozen pipes.
1) Disconnect all outside hoses from hose bibs and sill-cocks.
2) Find all shut offs that supply water to the hose bib and then drain the line be sure that the valve is shut off 100%. Frost proof hose bibs do not have shut off valve so you will need to
cover them.
3) If valves do not shut off 100%, then the values will need to be changed.
4) Cover the outside hose bibs and sill-cocks.
5) Block off all openings to the crawl space.
